Struck by the United States Mint in San Francisco, honouring both the 34th US President Dwight (Ike) D. Eisenhower from 1953-1961, depicted on the obverse and the first landing of man on the moon with an eagle on the reverse (similar to the official Apollo II insignia) these proof one dollars contain 40% silver and weigh 24.6 grams.
Dated 1971 these coins have toned over time but they retain a brilliant proof finish.
